Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child was born into a family in South London. The father of her is Nigerian and Swiss, while the mother of her is English. She was lived in a housing estate run by the council located south of London. In the ages of fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She was a student of acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While at school she appeared in numerous stage plays, like the King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career started in the series Storm Damage. Since then, she has made guest appearances for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film came from the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following that success her role was Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN, and appeared in the six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside playing Ollie. In 2008, she landed the part in the role of Bambi on The ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in three and two series. Madekwe was a part of the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was announced that Madekwe, who had played a regular role in the past two seasons, had decided to quit the show after a guest-appearance in the premiere episode of the season's new episode. The actress portrayed Tituba in the TV show Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked with each other on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had an appearance with her on that TV show.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. Four of her older brothers were also present including twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers, who were each of them extremely physically active, were all playing hockey in the winter and baseball during the summers, meaning that she grew up playing in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley never actually walked -she did dance, so at the age of 2 1/2 years old she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley became passionate about dance after this. Ashley was a competitor in tap, jazz and ballet in the high divisions. She also won best soloist awards at all major dance contests, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
