Molly is a native of Pennsylvania. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and began her professional career in Philadelphia at the Prince Music Theater at 13 years old. Her first performance was The Snow Queen. She portrayed Little Red Ridinghood shortly after in the Arden Theater s Into the Woods production for which she was awarded an Barrymore Award nomination. After making her Broadway debut aged 15, she reprised her part and was awarded an award from the Drama League Award. Molly played the role in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof (2004). She then attended Princeton University where she was a member of the Triangle Club and graduated in 2008 with a B.A. In this period when she made her feature film debut in Disney s College Road Trip as Wendy Greenhut.
